Founder | Feldenkrais  Moshé Pinchas Feldenkrais (May 6, 1904 – July 1, 1984) was an Israeli physicist and the founder of the Feldenkrais Method, designed to improve human functioning by increasing self-awareness through movement. Feldenkrais' theory is that "thought, feeling, perception and movement are closely interrelated and influence each other." During the 1930s Feldenkrais lived in France, where he obtained an Engineering Degree, and later a Doctor of Science in Engineering. He worked as a research assistant to nuclear chemist and Nobel Prize laureate Frédéric Joliot-Curie. Feldenkrais had studied Ju Jitsu in his teenage years, and pursued his interest in self defense practices while living in France, excelling in Judo and co-founding the Ju-Jitsu Club de France, one of the oldest Judo clubs in Europe, which still exists today. When Feldenkrais was 25 he sustained a soccer injury, which was to be the catalyst in later years for the development of the Feldenkrais method. Learn more about this remarkable man HERE.
Improve your movement - for injury, pain, balance or performance - healthy movement habits will ensure you develop more flexible and functional body behaviour that will help you move better, with ease and flow
move through life with ease FELDENKRAIS

The Feldenkrais Method

The way we move, stand, and think can limit our potential to live optimally in our daily lives. Behaviours and habits in movement and thinking that we

have acquired both biologically and culturally throughout our life can constrain this potential. Initially, most people try The Feldenkrais Method to

relieve pain from an injury, or to improve their balance or other bodily movement. However, The Feldenkrais Method not only promotes and

encourages more functional, efficient and flexible movement, but it also encourages and supports more flexible and functional behaviour. The

Feldenkrais Method provides you with the opportunity and tools that teach you to move through life with ease, teaching you precisely how

movement works and how you can improve upon and ultimately replace your previous behaviours.

"Making the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy elegant." Moshe Feldenkrais

Testimonial “Tanja, and the Feldenkrais method, have changed my life. I first visited Tanja with back pain that I just couldn't get on top of. After the very first visit, I learnt so much about my body and became so much more aware of my posture and how I was holding myself. This awareness and knowledge increased over time, and I will be forever grateful for Tanja teaching me so much about my own body I did not know. If and when back pain does arise for me now (not often, as I can prevent it now) I have the knowledge and skills to get myself out of pain, without having to rush to Tanja for an immediate appointment. I can do it all on my own.  I still see Tanja and attend Feldenkrais classes and will continue to do so, but the confidence and trust in my body she has taught me is invaluable. I honestly believe that every single body would flourish with Feldenkrais.”  Kali Delich,2016 .
